Effective date: January 1, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SiteAuditLab ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

SiteAuditLab is a website health and performance auditing tool. The Service scans publicly accessible URLs and provides reports on security, performance, SEO, uptime, and analytics configuration.

The Service is intended for use on websites you own or have explicit permission to audit. You must not use the Service to scan websites without authorization from the website owner.

3. User Accounts

You may use core scanning features without an account. Creating an account via Google or GitHub OAuth is required to access scan history, scheduled monitoring, and analytics detection features.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to scan websites you do not own or have permission to audit
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or other technical restrictions
  • Use the Service to conduct or facilitate attacks against any website or service
  • Automate requests in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without written authorization

5. Limitations of the Service

SiteAuditLab performs automated, non-intrusive scans based on publicly available information. Our reports are informational only and do not constitute professional security audits, legal advice, or compliance certifications.

The Service may not detect all security vulnerabilities, performance issues, or compliance gaps. We strongly recommend supplementing automated scans with professional security assessments for critical systems.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, and content, is owned by SiteAuditLab and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

Scan reports generated by the Service may be shared for informational purposes. SiteAuditLab retains the right to use aggregated, anonymized scan data to improve the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY ACCURATE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SITEAUDITLAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.
